Polū and Melemele
Polu(폴루)는 하와이 언어로 구름 한 점 없는 깨끗한 하늘의 푸른색을 뜻하는 단어입니다. Polu 시리즈의 핸드캐스팅 기법으로 만들었습니다. 외부는 유약을 칠하지 않고 연마 작업을 통해 마무리하여 부드럽고 매트한 질감을 느낄 수 있습니다. 내부는 나뭇재가 섞인 유약을 사용하였으며 푸른 바탕의 잔잔한 무늬가 밤하늘과 같은 모습입니다. 유약의 작은 반점은 번조 과정에서 변칙적으로 생겨나 각각 모두 다른 무늬를 만들어냅니다.
Polu, which is named after the Hawaiian word for the blue color of a clear sky, is hand-cast in color porcelain and polished to give a smooth finish. The inside is finished with wood ash glazing which creates the sensation of looking a night sky and features uncontrollable speckles, which give every product its own unique look.
Melemele(멜레멜레)는 하와이 언어로 노란색을 뜻하는 단어입니다. 내부는 철이 섞인 유약을 사용하였으며 갈색의 잔잔한 무늬는 모래사장 같은 느낌입니다.
Melemele is named after the Hawaiian word for the color yellow . The inside is finished with iron glazing which creates the impression of a sand beach.
Cylinder Vase는 다양한 색의 메탈 플레이트와 조합 할 수 있습니다. 세라믹 화병 밑에는 자석이 부착되어 철제 가구 위에는 플레이트 없이도 사용 가능 합니다.
the ceramic part of “Cylinder Vase” can be matched with different colors of metal plate. A magnet is attached to the bottom of the ceramic, which means that the ceramic vase can also stand alone on metal furniture.
